Sapphire FUE Hair Transplantation

We have witnessed the advancements brought by the FUE technique in hair transplantation, particularly in the extraction process. However, hair transplantation involves more than just extraction. It comprises two crucial phases: graft preservation and the incision-making process. Sapphire FUE revolutionizes both of these steps by utilizing equipment made with sapphire stone. Sapphire is the second hardest stone on Earth, surpassed only by diamond.

Despite its exceptional hardness, sapphire stone is also flexible. This unique combination of qualities allows for shaping the stone in a way that the tip of the instrument has a sharper V-shaped end, unlike the U-shaped end of steel blades.

The sharper tip and smaller surface area of sapphire blades require less force to penetrate the scalp at the recipient site. This translates to a faster channel opening process, enabling more channels to be created per session and reducing the duration of the incision-making phase. Additionally, sapphire blades pose a lower risk of damaging neighboring tissue.

In simple terms, sapphire FUE results in no visible scars on the recipient site due to the sharpness of the blade tip. Furthermore, it shortens the incision-making period by approximately an hour, reducing the exposure time of the grafts.
